Rotary Kiln Brief Introduction :

Rotary kiln is a direct heating type with rotary shell, which fires material through heat exchanging by contacting hot air (high temperature gas) generated by the burner provided at one end of the shell directly with the material. The shell internal wall is lined with firebricks for the shell protection subject to respective conditions. Furthermore, heatresisting bricks are used for the lining as needed. The flow directions of the material and hot air (high temperature gas) are countercurrent, in general. According to the applications, however, concurrent flow may be introduced or a hot air generation unit may be provided in addition. It is also possible to mix solid fuel in the material or to provide a self-combustion process in the kiln. Furthermore, perfect air sealing is provided at both ends of the kiln shell, which makes it possible to keep the kiln internal atmosphere acid, neutral, or reducible in accordance with the applications.

Working principle of rotary kiln/rotary kiln for cement clinker

  1. Bucket elevator transports the wet material into the feeder.

 2.  Feeder sends the wet material into the rotary drier silo.

 3. Feeder cover keeps the materials not leaking and maintain the temperature of pulp.

 4. Drum dryer rotates slowly by motor power to heat material evenly.

 5. Lifting plate: through the rotating of transfer cylinder and the mixing of the lifting plate, the materials are heated fully and the water is evaporated.

 6  Dust blower.

 7.  Dust collector cyclone: the dust generated by the mixing of the dried material in the warehouse was discharged out through dust fan and dust collector cyclone,this drying way is environmental.

 8. Discharging cover maintains the temperature in the silo, discharge the dry materials orderly.

 9. Rotary discharging feeder: The dry materials are transported on the belt conveyor through rotary discharging feeder.

10. Belt conveyor: the dried materials are transported into product stock by the belt conveyor or directly bulked.

Application of rotary kiln:

Rotary kiln is mainly used for metallurgy, building materials, ores and other mineral materials, heating and calcining. Such as ceramic sand, bauxite, limestone, cement, fly ash magnesium aluminum hydroxide, aluminum products, alumina refractory materials such as mineral particles and the heating and calcined powder.
