Quality control at every stage
Quality control is a critical element of every process for custom metal stamping/sheet metal fabrication. From the arrival of raw materials at our dock to the delivery of finished parts to our customers, our quality control department is an essential participant at all stages in metal stamping engineering and production.
Customers' specifications and dimensions are constantly tracked and monitored throughout the stamping production process. To enhance our inspection capabilities, we use a number of quality control programs such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and chart PPKs and CPKs for critical dimensions.
All customers receive a first article inspection report (on new programs), a copy of our production inspection plan, and documented workmanship specifications on each part with visual aids available upon request for your retention.

Progressive Die:
Progressive dies provide an effective way to convert raw coil stock into a finished product with minimal handling. As material feeds from station to station in the die, it progressively works into a completed part. Progressive dies usually run from right to left. The part material feeds one progression for each press cycle. Early stations typically perforate holes that serve as pilots to locate the stock strip in later stations.
There are many variations of progressive die designs.
Compound Die
A compound die blanks and perforates a part at the same time in the same station during hardware stamping. In most cases this operation perforates a hole or holes down, while the part blanks up. This allows slugs from those holes to fall through the die. This method leaves the part in the die, requiring some means of part removal. Compound dies commonly run as single-hit dies. They can run continuously with a feeder, provided you can remove the part in a timely manner. Open Back Inclinable (OBI) presses - in the inclined position along with an air blow- off - aid in part removal. Advantages of a compound die include: • Minimal space in the press • All burrs in one direction • Superior accuracy between holes and trim edges • More economical to build than a progressive die A disadvantage of a compound blank die is its limited space that tends to leave die components thin and weak. This concentrates the load and shock on punches and matrixes, resulting in tooling failures.
Deep Drawing Stamping Processing
(Deep drawing can be named as Deep Drawn,Deep Drawn stamping processing),Deep drawing/drawn processing is commonly used for a custom sheet metal stamping manufacturer.This deed drawing stamping process of manufacturing has certain distinct advantages over similar components made in the conventional manner. This applies very significantly to components required in automobile industry and other high precision sheet metal stamping industries. As drawing pulls the available metal sheet into desired sizes and shapes, requirement of sheet metal in this production system is much lesser than conventional methods where sizeable portions of costly metal are wasted as end pieces and scrap when desired shapes are cut out of a standard sheet. Hence, this stamping process reduces wastage of metal and reduces cost of production substantially. These components are inherently better than conventionally manufactured substitutes and conform to international standards. So, they command a higher price in the market and efficient and quality conscious deep drawing manufacturers earn decent levels of profit.

There are certain crucial steps that could be ignored only at the peril of the producer as any slackness shown during these steps would result in total loss of quality of the output.
Type and thickness of metal used:
Degrees of malleability and ductility vary widely from one metal to the other. Thus choice of metal is of prime importance as it should strike a fine balance between accuracy of size and shape and durability of the metal under standard sheet metal stamping working conditions. But, in general it might be said thicker sheets, by dint of their larger volumes, allow higher levels of ductility and better grip leading to better output from deep drawing/deep drawn stamping process.
Quality of lubricants and surface finishers used in the deep drawing/drawn process
These reduce friction between metal surfaces as they are drawn between tools and die faces. This allows smoother drawing and lesser surface scratches and also helps to keep die temperatures within controllable limits – another vital parameter in the deep drawing process because any disfigurement of the dies due to high temperatures might result in defective or deformed output. Also, slower the deep drawing speed better would be the finish of the final product.
Sizes and shapes and blanks used in the process
The larger and more angular the sizes and shapes of blanks, the slower would be the speed of deep drawing/ddep drawn stamping.
Speed of pressing:
An ambient pressing speed is necessary to ensure smooth flow of material through tools. Any increase in speed might result in cracks and fissures in the drawn material.
Though deep drawing/deep drawn and metal stamping both use pressure and speed to form sheet metal sheets and wires into desired sizes and shapes; the former process cannot be a substitute of the latter. Stamping is essentially completed in a single machine while deep drawing/deep drawn is opted where deeper and more intricate designs and shapes, beyond the capability of stamping machines, are required.
