About Slate:
Slate is a kind of metamorphic rock, and formed about 200 million years ago from shale. Under the condition of high temperature & high pressure minerals in shale turn into new horizontal combination even new minerals, then the rocks contain very tiny mineral grains and very thin & slaty foliated tiers. Slate is very easy of splitting into 1-2cm thickness by hand, because its thin foliated tiers.
Because it is very convenient and low-cost to process slate, slate is applied as interior flooring, outside paving, wall cladding, house roofing, tabletop, showed board, dish mat, picture frame, clock face, serving tray and so on.
