Description:

In many underground waterproof projects, it requires a special waterproof method—empty-applied. In this situation, develops a new series of waterproof membrane—double-side self-adhesive waterproof membrane. It is a combination of self-adhesive rubber/bitumen compound, reinforced material and double release paper. This series of membrane is designed for the waterproofing of underground construction such as tunnel, subway, basement ,roofs and pools etc.

The special formulation of the self-adhesive compound enables the membrane to be applied directly onto wet cement grout without any primer. This application is named as "wet application". 

Wet - application installation procedure:

1.Base processing:the base surface must be clean,solid,level,dry;no grit,rift and loosing dust. For a large recess,fill it with cement mortar and then level it. Remove the protrusion and clean dust.If working on base slab or lateral face,water lowering should be done.

2.Plaster cement grout within the scope where membrane is paved.(Plastering cement grout in a large area at one time is not recommended, it’s better to plaster cement grout along the membrane is paved ).

the thickness of cement grout shall be determined according to the smoothness of substrate, which is 3-5mm in general.

3. Pull off relaese paper, pave membrane onto the fresh cement grout.

4.Join side laps(overlap) by adhering membranes with each other (minimum width of 60mm)

When membranes installation are completed, do not move or walk on them, the strongest and overall adhesion can be realized after about 48 hours (cement become cured,the exact time depend on climate)

5.Press membranes tightly to make sure the trapped air is excluded

Package and transportation:

1.Membranes should be stored under dry and ventilated conditions.

2.Different types of membranes must be piled separately.

3.Under usual condition, storage period is one year since production date.

4.Membrane roll should be put vertically during transportation. It should be kept away from sunshine and rainwater.

Requirements for surroundings:

1.The base should be dry and clean. Do not work in the rainy or snowy day.

2.Do not work under heavy wind(above 5 grade)

3.Unsuitable for construction below 0°C

4.If it is rain or snow in the process of construction, protective measure to the laid membrane is must
