The product is Zingiberaceae galangal roots. Galangal is a grown produce for its high medicinal value, but also can be used for spices (making Indian incense). Galangal rhizome cylindrical, 4-9 cm in diameter 11/SPAN> to 115 centimeters. Surface reddish brown or dark brown, with longitudinal wrinkles and gray-brown wavy link, node length from 0.5 to 11/SPAN> cm. Quality tough and difficult to break, section gray-brown, fibrous, obviously within the cortical ring, scattered vascular point marks. Air is fragrant, spicy flavor. To red-brown color, strong aroma and taste disorders preferred.
Galangal Nutritional Analysis:
Rhizomes contain Galangin (Galangin), kaempferol (Kaempferide)? Mesothelin (Quercetin) and volatile oil.
