DPUa(Data Processing Unit REV: a): General Data Processing board version.TCS box is the E1/T1 interface board configuration, DPUa veneer configuration in 9~13 slots; TCS plug box using STM 1 interface board configuration, DPUa veneer configuration in 1~3, 8~13 slots.

DPUa veneer GSM voice, data, business processing functions. The main function of DPUa veneer is as follows:

› Provide voice decoding functions.

› Provide data rate adaptation function.

› Provide TFO (Tandem Free Operation) function. When the Lord called MS using the same way of speech coding, speech signal in launching the MS code only once and put an end to end MS decoding time, lifting the repeated decoding operation, thus effectively improving the quality of speech.

› Provide function of speech enhancement.

› Provide voice, fault self-test function.
