The thickness of our tarp is measured in mil (which is equal to a thousandth of one inch). A 14 mil tarp is 0.014 inch thick. To convert mil to inch, just follow this simple computation: 14 mil/1000 = 0.014. Denier is unit of measurement for linear mass density (this is the amount of mass/unit length) of fibers. It is the mass (in g) per 9k m.
