Review: Temperature is a physical quantity that represents the degree of cold and heat of an object. It can be indirectly measured by certain characteristics of the object with temperature changes (such as resistance, voltage changes, etc.). It has been found that the resistance value of metal platinum (Pt) changes with temperature, and it has good reproducibility and stability. A sensor made of this physical characteristic of platinum is called platinum resistance temperature sensor, the commonly used platinum resistance temperature sensor has a zero resistance of 100 Ω and a resistance change rate of 0.3851 Ω / °C. The platinum resistance temperature sensor has high precision, good stability, wide range of application. It is the most commonly used temperature detector in the low-temperature zone (-200 ~ 650 °C), not only widely used in industrial temperature measurement, but also various standard thermometers (covering national and world reference temperatures) have been developed for measurement and calibration.

Temperature Coefficient TCR of Platinum Resistance According to the IEC 751 international standard, the temperature coefficient TCR = 0.003851, Pt100(R0 = 100Ω), and Pt 1000(R0 = 100Ω) are unified design platinum resistors. TCR =(R100-R0) /(R0 × 100) 

Stability of Platinum Resistance Sensor The platinum resistance sensor has a good long-term stability. The typical experimental data is: at 400 °C, it lasts for 300 hours, and the maximum temperature drift at 0 °C is 0.02 °C. Self-heat and test current of platinum resistance Test current for conventional products: Pt100 is 1mA, Pt1000 is 0.5 mA, and the test current should not exceed the allowed value in practical applications, for example, when the test current is 1mA, the temperature rises to 0.05 °C. When the test current is 5 mA, the temperature rises to 2.2 °C, and the self-heating temperature rise data also has a great relationship with the structure of the product, such as the diameter of the protective tube, the type of internal filling, and the test conditions.
