Working principle of manual briquette press

Briquette is a process that biomass is compressed under high pressure and high temperature. The self bonding of biomass to form a briquette involves the thermo plastic flow of the biomass. The lignin content that occurs naturally in biomass is liberated under high pressure and temperature. Lignin serves as the glue in the briquette process, thus binding, compressing the biomass to form into high density briquettes. During this process, no binder is used. So the surface of briquette is a type of clean and green fuel that is ideal for use in furnaces, boilers and open fires.

Raw material of manual briquette press

Any types of Agro-forestry waste Such as sawdust,stalk sawdust, paddy straw, sunflower stalk, maize stalks, soybean stalks, broomcorn stalks, cotton stalks, rape stalks, peanut plants, sunflower stalks, bamboo saw dust, bagasse, wood chips, rice husk, coffee husk,coir pith, jute sticks, groundnut shells, Bamboo , wood , straw dust, Mustard stalk and cotton stalks etc.
1. Crushing the raw materials diameter into size no bigger than 5mm.
2. Dry the crushed materials to 8-12%.

Final products of manual briquette press

This briquette is 40-80mm in diameter, occurs in the hollow quadrangular or hexagonal cylinder or hollow hexagonal with a 15-20mm hole through the body.
The available shape: square, hexagonal, pentagon, pentagon with edge, hexagon with edge.
The available diameter could be: 50mm,55mm.60mm,65mm.70mm.80mm and so on.
The available length could be :20cm,30cm, 40cm, 50cm.

Apply of final products

1.Use as biofuel directly for furnace or boiler, electric power plant , even for home cooking/heating and open fires.
2.Further processed it for BBQ charcoal.

Parts of manual briquette press

The charcoal briquette press has spare parts, such as propeller, heating rings, moulding tube, and wear-resistant cover. 

The propeller is the core equipment to make briquette;
The heating rings controls the optimal temperature to make briquette;
The moulding tube is to control the final product shape and diameters.

1. Crush the raw material into small pieces (diameter is about 3-5mm)
2. Dry the material by machine or dried it in the sun , till the moisture is less than 12%
3. Put the material into feed let of briquette machine
4. Produce the briquette stick from biomass material without any additive
