German technical background Volcker VOK products are used to improve the performance and stability of various water-based formulas.

German technical background Volcker VOK®- AP EP is a sheet silicate, which is made of natural minerals through proprietary organic modification. Particularly effective in:

·Highly acidic or alkaline formula

·Products with high dissolved salt content

·Spray formulation with adhesive rheology

·Systems with high content of water-soluble organic solvents

·Stable suspension of pigments and minerals

Recommended use

It is used to provide shear sensitive structures in water-based systems, including household and industrial surface coatings, household and cleaning agents, ceramic glazes, and agricultural, chemical, oil, and horticultural products.

Appearance: free flowing white powder

Bulk density: 900-1100 kg/m3

Specific gravity: 2.1

PH (2% suspension): 9-11

Free water: up to 10%

Adding method and processing guidance

VOK®- AP EP must be pre dispersed in water. The product shall be added to the water under rapid mixing. Stir for at least ten minutes. Note that VOK®- AP EP produces gel structure faster in water than VOK®- of other grades  Faster. Other formula ingredients can be added to VOK®- AP EP after 15-20 minutes of premixing dispersion.

Storage and transportation

VOK®- The product is hygroscopic and should be stored in the original packaging under dry conditions.
