It is made of nanoscale material and is effective in suppressing problems such as delamination and short-circuiting of dendrites in lead-acid battery electrolytes. The adsorption of the colloid reduces the supersaturation of PbSO4 and creates loose porosity.

2. Inside the colloidal battery, the formation of a dense crystalline layer of PbSO4 is delayed and its coverage on the surface of the negative plate improves the battery's excellent performance even in low temperature environments. In addition, it reduces the current density, obtains lead dioxide with strong bonding, delays the softening of the electrode plate and improves the deep cycling capability of the cell.

The micro-cracks formed by the shrinkage of the colloid within the solar colloid cell allow oxygen to diffuse from the positive to the negative electrode in the form of a gas phase, enabling oxygen compounding, improving oxygen compounding efficiency and reducing water loss.
