LAT-01 Lasting Adhesiveness Tester

Background

Lasting adhesiveness has other names such as holding power, shear adhesion, shear resistance, Static Shear Adhesion etc. 

This test measures the adhesion of sample to standard steel panel - A strip of tape is applied to a standard steel panel and the panel is mounted vertically, a standard mass is attached to the free end of the tape and the time to failure is determined.

Application

LAT-01 Lasting Adhesiveness Tester is for the test of lasting adhesive/holding power of pressure sensitive adhesive tapes, labels and other interrelated products.

Test Description 

The test plate with adhesive specimen is vertically hanged on the stand and its bottom is attached with a standard weight. The lasting adhesive property could be obtained by measuring the displacement of specimen on vertical test plate or the time to failure at the load.
