Product Description
What is a fire door?
A fire door is a door that can meet the requirements of fire resistance stability, integrity and thermal insulation within a certain period of time. It can only be called a fire door if it is tested by a laboratory designated by the Ministry of Fire and the Ministry of Economic Affairs according to the fire resistance test method of relevant national standards and obtains the corresponding verification registration certificate and authorized logo.
Fire doors are classified according to fire resistance performance:
Ÿ Insulated fire doors (Class A): Fire resistance insulation and fire resistance integrity meet the corresponding time requirements at the same time, such as fire resistance insulation ≥ 0.50h, fire resistance integrity ≥ 0.50h is A0.50 (Class C); fire resistance insulation ≥ 1.00h, fire resistance integrity ≥ 1.00h is A1.00 (Class B); fire resistance insulation ≥ 1.50h, fire resistance integrity ≥ 1.50h is A1.50 (Class A), etc.
Ÿ Partially insulated fire doors (Class B): Fire insulation ≥ 0.50h, fire integrity meets the corresponding time requirements, such as fire integrity ≥ 1.00h is B1.00; fire integrity ≥ 1.50h is B1.50, etc.
Non-insulated fire doors (Class C): Only meet the fire integrity requirements, such as fire integrity ≥ 1.00h is C1.00; fire integrity ≥ 1.50h is C1.50, etc.
Fire door classification:
Wooden fire door, steel fire door, steel-wood fire door, other material fire door.
AS 1530.4 Fire Resistance Test Introduction:
Standard Name:AS/NZS 1530.4:Methods for fire tests on building materials, components and structures - Fire-resistance test of elements of construction
AS 1530.4 Fire Test Introduction:
1. Standard Name:
AS/NZS 1530.4: Fire Tests on Building Materials, Elements and Structures - Part 4: Fire Resistance Tests of Building Units
AS/NZS 1530.4: Methods for fire tests on building materials, components and structures - Fire-resistance test of elements of construction
2. Judgment Basis:
Ÿ Loss of integrity: When the cotton pad is ignited or the backfire surface burns for more than 10 seconds, the specimen is considered to have lost its integrity;
During the test, a 6mm diameter probe can pass through the crack into the furnace and the probe can be no less than 150mm along the length of the crack;
When a 25mm diameter probe can pass through the crack into the furnace, the specimen is considered to have lost its integrity.
Ÿ
Loss of thermal insulation: When the average temperature rise of the backfire surface of the specimen exceeds the initial average temperature of the specimen surface by 140℃ or the temperature rise of the backfire surface at any point exceeds the initial temperature of that point by 180℃, the specimen is considered to have lost its thermal insulation.
In summary, the AS 1530.4 judgment is based on integrity and thermal insulation. When fire doors undergo AS1530.4 fire resistance testing, special attention should be paid to the thermal insulation performance.
